Unpopular opinions (elementary edition): 1. Stop accepting projects completed by parents, 2. Stop assigning projects that require store-bought materials and adult help, 3. STOP THE INSANITY.
My kids are grown and this still ticks me off as a former classroom teacher and a parent.

Marching Band Senior Night for our youngest. So much growth & determination to learn two new instruments in the midst of two PCSs and two high school programs. Lots of lessons learned and memories made. Perhaps we’ll be watching more marching at Pitt next fall?! So proud. @jpclark97.bsky.social

After three days, thousands of steps, hundreds of conversations, many forums attended during #AUSA2023, my voice is shot and my brain is full. Thankful for the opportunity to attend, learn, and connect.

There is a market for women’s shoes that are professional and worthy of 15k+ steps a day. Even my best shoes don’t cut it. I’ve resorted to wearing my white adidas with my suit today. My feet and back cannot take it any more.

Using my powers of deduction (because I don’t follow sports), Penn is playing Dartmouth today. I am the only person in the hotel lounge without team gear on.

For reasons, I’m learning about rugby. I just watched/listened to Australia vs Fiji match. Picked up a few things, still have many questions. Learning something new is always equal parts novel and confusing. A good lesson and reminder for me, for reasons ;)
