Happy Friday! Check out the snow covered roads up at Beech Mountain as the snow continues to fall. Some areas up there have already seen several inches and totals could exceed 8" up at the ski resorts. Be cautious heading out up there. We just have the cold in the metro (coldest of the season.)

It's dramatically colder this morning compared to yesterday and we won't be warming up all that much today. Bundle up as you head out the door. Temps will be even colder tomorrow morning (near freezing in Charlotte.)

This pacific low is incredible. Bringing very strong winds to the NW along with big rain and mountain snows even down to California.

This pacific low is incredible. Bringing very strong winds to the NW along with big rain and mountain snows even down to California.
We have a rainy start to the day with steady showers moving through the metro. The greatest impacts will be this morning before we dry out this afternoon. Can't rule out a stray shower this afternoon as a strong cold front arrives. Stay dry my friends.

The sunrise this morning has been spectacular. Those clouds are a sign of rain coming our way though by this afternoon. Keep an umbrella nearby and have a great day!
