Listened to shortwave pirate radio stations earlier this evening on my Qodosen DX-286, when I decided to try my W6LVP loop, hooked up to the antenna input jack. 6945 AM Liquid Radio signal was stronger at one point. Time signal stations WWV on 5000 and CHU on 3330 and 7850 all stronger.

I think I heard Liquid Radio playing music on 6945 AM between 0145 and 0201z from Houston, Texas. (This per an FM DXer/SWLer in Missouri. He says the signal is stronger on a Louisiana SDR there). This is probably my first pirate catch here in Bentonville, Arkansas.

Really great eastern U.S. DX day, July 21. It started out with 92.9 WGTZ, 95.5 WXMG, 99.7 WRKZ and 105.9 WNKN from Ohio via tropo in the 8 a.m. hour, an opening that was probably going better before I found it — got in late from our vacation road trip!
