A Brazilian supreme court judge has ordered the house arrest of former president Jair Bolsonaro for allegedly breaching “preventative measures” which were imposed amid concerns the far-right leader might abscond to avoid punishment over an alleged coup attempt.
According to the ruling on Monday by Justice Alexandre de Moraes, Bolsonaro breached a ban on using social media which was imposed last month, when he was also ordered to wear an electronic ankle tag. Continue reading...

The most dangerous move by the conservative party ever!!! House members who approved this bill should be relieved and special elections should be held. We need a balance of power now more than ever and there is no excuse for this buried in a tax bill.

The most dangerous move by the conservative party ever!!! House members who approved this bill should be relieved and special elections should be held. We need a balance of power now more than ever and there is no excuse for this buried in a tax bill.

Trump's strategy is clear - normalize hatred, politicize everything (most importantly the justice department), use government funding/resources to punish his political opposition (real or imaginary), and threaten those standing up to him by sending immigrants & US citizens to El Salvadorian prison.

This communications playbook makes so much sense and applies to all American people who value reason, equality, and civil rights. We all have a responsibility to speak up against the misuse of power and call out cronyism, racism, and misinformation when we see it.
