Life Update: NESN eliminated the editorial staff last week, which unfortunately included my position.

It’s tough timing, but I’ll still be producing content until May before becoming a free agent. I’m open to opportunities, so send them my way.

We move.

Seth McLaughlin in the 5th?

Garrett Bradbury/Cole Strange/Ben Brown aren't long-term answers. The #Patriots can trust they have a stopgap, but I would keep looking.

The #Patriots aren't keeping secrets, but it's still remarkable how many of their signings have experience with the staff.

Morgan Moses ➡️ Downing
Carlton Davis ➡️ Williams
Robert Spillane ➡️ McDaniels
Harold Landry ➡️ Vrabel
Josh Dobbs ➡️ Vrabel
Mack Hollins ➡️ McDaniels
K'Lavon Chaisson ➡️ Marrone

"You don't need a miracle to win football games. You just need the right people in the building."

Morgan Moses is one of the most impressive players I've ever heard from -- no wasted breath. I'd throw the captain's patch on him immediately.

Joe Milton III probably isn’t long for New England.

The Patriots know that, but they’re smartly keeping their cards close to the vest.
Patriots Taking Right Approach To Odd Joe Milton III Situation
Patriots quarterback Joe Milton III likely won't be sticking around long-term, but that doesn't mean he needs to be shipped off immediately.

The #Patriots had a decent start to free agency, but what’s next?

It’s complicated, but their best course of action could be exploring creative options throughout the remainder of the offseason.
Next Up? How Patriots Should Follow Up Decent Free Agency Start
The Patriots didn't exactly turn themselves into a contender on Monday, but they've had a decent start to free agency. What's next, though?

New England Patriots legend Mack Hollins

I’d expect the #Patriots to do these three things over the coming days:

1. sign Patrick Mekeri
2. add another IDL
3. check back in on Brandon Aiyuk
March 10, 2025 at 6:34 PM
Who’s next, folks?

WR? S? OL?
March 10, 2025 at 6:20 PM
The #Patriots are having a decent afternoon…

Harold Landry (3yr, $43M)
Carlton Davis (3yr, $60M)
Robert Spillane (3yr, $37M)
Morgan Moses (3yr, $24M)
Milton Williams (4yr, $100M+)

… and should have plenty of room to do more.

The Patriots swoop in and steal Milton Williams from the Carolina Panthers… for $26M per.

Am I good or am I good?
Milton Williams might make $26M per...
Sources: DT Javon Kinlaw to the Commanders, as he gets a 3 year, $45M deal with $30M guaranteed.

probably not a mistake after all.
Update: Dianna Russini has told Awful Announcing that the incorrect graphic that showed a New England Patriots logo alongside free agent Morgan Moses was a "bad mistake" by her graphics team.

Our story has been updated.

New England is signing Morgan Moses to a 3yr, $24M deal, per Mike Garafolo. Moses is a good player, but this deal requires a continued search for help at tackle.

The #Patriots shouldn’t be done.
March 10, 2025 at 5:32 PM
The #Patriots still have options, folks.

Javon Hargrave? Sebastian Joseph-Day? Tershawn Wharton? Levi Onwuzurike? NE could put the finishing touches on a completely revamped defensive unit as early as today.

the #Patriots at least have been able to sign players who have some connection to the coaching staff.
March 10, 2025 at 5:13 PM
The #Patriots should say fuck it and just go sign one of those safeties.
March 10, 2025 at 5:12 PM
Nate Hobbs playing in the slot between Christian Gonzalez and Carlton Davis?

ooooooooweeeeeeeeeee
Nate Hobbs would be nice
March 10, 2025 at 5:12 PM
The #Patriots are looking pretty good at CB…

Carlton Davis gets a 3yr, $60M deal, giving them a ball-hawking option opposite Christian Gonzalez.
March 10, 2025 at 5:09 PM
The #Patriots should be shifting their focus to Levi Onwuzurike, wouldn’t be surprised to see a deal come together rather quickly.
March 10, 2025 at 5:03 PM
Milton Williams to the Carolina Panthers… aaaaaaaand this is a disastrous start.
March 10, 2025 at 5:01 PM
Dan Moore to TEN. Jaylon Moore to KC.

It’s feeling like Cam Robinson or bust for NE.
March 10, 2025 at 5:01 PM
WOAH.

Spillane getting north of $10M wasn’t expected over here, but we clearly saw how much an off-ball linebacker costs nowadays.
LB Robert Spillane to the New England Patriots, per Jeremy Fowler. 3-years, $37M for the middle linebacker

Robert Spillane to New England.

Good player, if not unspectacular.
