Planning my WIPs for the year based on what hobbies and skills I want to pick up is an acceptable way to write, yes?

Question for the writing community: are you more motivated to write when it’s cold outside? Less? Unaffected? Snow-dependent?
January 15, 2025 at 1:24 PM
It’s so interesting how much a book changes from the original idea to the first full draft. It’s one of my favorite parts of writing, but damn, it can be a total headache.

Do you set reading goals for yourself? If so, have you set yours for this year? I’m not setting a quantity goal for myself this year, but I’m working my way through my physical TBR, and trying not to buy any new books until I’ve done so. It’s… a big task.

Is there any greater joy than choosing a new planner for the year?
January 3, 2025 at 3:15 PM
Happy New Year, friends! It’s that time of year again — when I set a bunch of ridiculously ambitious goals for myself that I will never in a million years be able to meet. Can’t wait to do it again. 😅

after today, I’m officially off work for the next two weeks… how much of my draft do we think I can finish?
December 20, 2024 at 2:42 PM
Happy holigays everyone! I’m thoroughly enjoying working my way through my physical TBR this holiday season. Next up: Kiss Her Once For Me. What are you reading?

Went to see my three year old niece in the nutcracker last weekend, and now I can’t stop thinking about revisiting my sapphic YA nutcracker rivals-to-girlfriends project.

I’ve been pretty quiet on socials this year as I work on something new. I’ve written and rewritten and started over more times than I can count. But I’m locking in for the rest of the year to finish this draft. What are you working on #writingcommunity?
