Lord Jesus, inspire us
to come to you day by day,
bringing that in us
which needs the healing,
the wholeness, the peace,
the shalom of your love.
As you renew and refresh us
in the new life of your kingdom,
give us the strength and courage
to show you to the world.

Sunday Homily - The Key is Perseverance
When change happens, we need not be terrified, deceived, or succumb to false predictions. Rather, it is by our perseverance that we will secure our lives.

Nov 8 Scripture
When Jesus says "Make friends for yourselves with dishonest wealth" (Lk 15:9), he is not saying that we become money loving people. Rather, that we are not attached to it; that our identity is not lost when we do not have it; that it does not determine our dignity, character, faith.

FEAST OF ALL SAINTS
"Poor in Spirit,
Mourn with those who weep,
Meek,
Hunger and thirst for righteousness,
Merciful,
Clean of heart,
Peacemakers,
Persecuted for the sake of righteousness" (Mt 5:3-10).
There is blessedness is being the kind of person Jesus was. May we find ourselves blessed!

Bereshit , “In the beginning…” invites us to ponder more than just the origins of heaven and earth; it invites us to consider how the world, society and human relationships can be framed around shared responsibility, mutual dignity, and the freedom that arises when no one holds unchecked power.

PONDER:
The meaning of life is to find your gift
The purpose of life is to give it away...
The Lord has given us His Holy Spirit to be our Helper, but He will not be of practical help to us until we yield ourselves to Him. In Romans 6:13, Paul urges believers to “yield yourselves unto God.”

Sept 30 Scripture
In today's gospel, as much as the disciples wanted to call down fire from heaven to consume and consumer the Samaritan village (as if they could 😂) Jesus turned around and rebuked them (Lk 9:51-56). How often we think God is only our God! All belong to God and God belongs to all.

Sept 23 Scripture
Jesus expanded his biological family saying, "My mother and my brothers are those who hear the word of God and act on it" (Lk 19 21). In our own families, there are good people and not so good folks. Am I a good member of Jesus' family? It depends on hearing and acting on his word.

Sept 22 Scripture
"No one who lights a lamp conceals it with a vessel...' (Lk 8:18). Unfortunately, these days darkness is placed on a lampstand and darkness is proposed as the light. How is true light discerned from the light of darkness? True light is always humble, kind, self-giving, peaceful.

Sept 17 Scripture
Jesus: "To what shall I compare the people of this generation?(Lk 7:31). It is a rhetorical question by Jesus but to answer the question, I say: This generation makes racism, hate, violence, and oppression virtues. It makes martyrs out of villains. So, please let us keep the faith.

SOMETIMES THERE MUST BE SILENCE:
because sometimes life is so unutterably bleak
the darkness so heavy, the pain so pointless,
that we reach a place beyond words. words have no currency here, So we enter silence.
The big ache
The desolation.
Wilderness
Silence

A beautiful reminder of how great God is
I CAN SEE CLEARLY NOW...
Sometimes in the flow of life we miss what is right before us, indeed part of us. Then, suddenly when we least expect it, that Kingfisher brightness breaks upon us and we see clearly: www.youtube.com/watch?v=MrHx...
