so in their perspective they're trying to protect themselves from becoming the minority to avoid facing the oppression they oppress onto others,
as they think by the very nature of being the majority means your instinct is to casually and callously oppress the minority.

i've seen the argument where people who get upset over the inclusion of accessibility options in video games have the same mentality as people who get upset of there being more diverse options food and drinks to buy at a coffee shop.
