At the end of March, Jürgen Habermas—at age 95, arguably Europe’s most important living philosopher—published a very important reflection on Trump, Europe, Ukraine, and the current threats to democracy. I am dismayed that this has not been picked as yet in the English speaking world.

During January and February I felt like I was in thick fog with everything that was happening. Your book cleared the fog and brought clarity—not comfort, but clarity. I recommend this book to everyone I talk to. I can’t thank you enough. (And it reawakened my interest in Poland!)
