I have to be careful, because I mostly don't think existentialism is good philosophy, but there's a clear line between illiterate pop-existentialism and pop-nihilism like Everything, Everywhere, All At Once, and perfectly fair stabs at it whose issues are the same as I'd have with Sartre.

I know I'm stepping into a five-year-old conversation but it does kinda suck that you spend like twenty minutes as a corpo before you get montage'd into a completely different situation.

This post is prompted by me trying to decide whether Ignition! by John Clark is an appropriate thing to give to my friend's fiancée's precocious son (not yet, but soon!) and concluding that the book I'd really want to give him doesn't really exist.
