Hello 👋 second attempt at this Bluesky thing. Last time I followed too many starter packs and gained too many followers too quickly that I found it hard to cut through the noise. Still looking to fill a void in content I consume and a place to post so going to try again more slowly this time.
Went to an 8am data leaders round table today where the topic was Gen AI (obv) and it was great - more events should be breakfast pre-work events. #databs

I was meant to be travelling to London today but the meeting was cancelled as I was waiting for the train. After a couple of days juggling a snotty child and work I was looking forward to a few hours on a train. Alas I get to enjoy some blue skies in Manchester instead.

Today I've been doing a Databricks "Machine learning model development" training course. I really enjoyed it and feel inspired to use MLflow for my current experiments and I'm looking forward to using more of the machine learning tools in future.

I really enjoyed putting together this presentation "Beat Bots", with the VP of Threat Research, for this quarters' town hall. It's nice to be able to showcase the impact our data science team has on defending our customer sites against bot attacks.

This panel session from the YSS sounds great!
The first YSS event in 2025 will happen next week (3 March 3-4 pm) ✨

The online panel session will include discussions of maintaining work and family balance for female professionals, ahead of the International Women's Day (8 March) 👩!

I was in charge of team lunch today so went a bit rogue and didn't order our usual Dominoes pizzas. Build your own Tacos from Open Kitchen MCR, highly recommend 👌

Your team might be agile, but is it this agile? (Cup for scale)
