Welcome! Personal acct. Living in the KC area. Formerly of Denver, Burque, Santa Fe, Taos. I like travel, photography, nature, reading, dead civs, sci-fi, horror comedy, lifting, hiking. Not looking for robots, fascists or pr0n here. Bellies OK!
For those who enjoy sleeper, indie, dual-language character development foreign films, with fine acting, emotional soundtracks and outstanding cinematography, see "Rental Family." Hikari delivered the goods with this one.

I hate that the phone camera is so good that it picks up dust and small beard hairs on black surfaces.

As usual, late to the party. BUT. I watched S2 of Interview with the Vampire. Great show. I'm impressed by the writing and the cinematography -- and the actors are doing a superb job IMO. I would rank this as the best season of gay dramatic television ever. The relationship dynamics are chilling.

Frankenstein! The grotesque and gruesome visuals were hard to watch, but I did it like this anyway:

Not gonna lie. Excited about the new Stargate series. Beyond the show, I hope they reboot the cons for at least one year.

Have you ever seen "Hedwig and the Angry Inch"? I mean the film is fine but I mean "big stage with big lights?"

"Midnight Radio" is the second best ending to a stage musical ever.

"LIFT UP YOUR HANDS!"

Definitely in my top 5 favorites. When I watch the film, I hallucinate the stage musical.

For the 50th anniversary of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show," I rewatched it though I've seen it maybe 20 times. TV, projection, theater, stage, symphony, different versions... I think the deeper meaning is, "Everybody gets something different out of wearing a garter belt."

Can we talk about The Witcher?

My one true complaint about the purple gym is the television fetish. Any time I want to stand up straight and correct my posture, I find myself staring at screens. I don't need more effin screens to stare at, especially ones I can't turn off.

Intrusive signals. Barf.

Nearsightedness helps a bit?

I just watched the documentary for "Where the Bears Are" called "A Big Gay Hairy Hit." Highly recommended. It was touching and fun and funny.

I had read some of your backstories, @benzook.bsky.social and @joedietl.bsky.social, but it was great hearing you all tell them.

Thanks for the show!

I'm reading "The House of Hidden Meanings" -- the memoir by Ru Paul Charles. Yep, me and Ru go back a long time but he just doesn't know it is all.

Happy Halloween!

My camera did a weird creepy and appropriate photo and I like it!

Fall burn. Quite a few big branches fell after 7 days of continuous rain. Sponsored by Moscow Mules.

If you see this, quote with a robot that isn’t from “Star Wars,” “Star Trek,” “Dr. Who,” or “Transformers.

I finished "Where the Bears Are" again. It's like the end of any memorable series. I feel like I'm losing my friends. Again. 🙁

I shouldn't be attached to TV characters, but I am! 😐

But now I get to watch all the sexy outtakes so it'll be like a reunion! 🤭

Us is still a good flick, even 6 years later, after the true collapse of society. When is someone going to make a movie about that?

Also, Winston Duke is smokin' hot. Woof!

The Last Voyage of the Demeter... Yes I'm late to the party. Yes they're trying to maintain that gothic styling... but... I think it's still the most boring vampire movie I've ever seen. Other than that, it wasn't a bad movie. Just. So. Dull.

Like all gays before me, I was taught the Gay Agenda through film and television. Where The Bears Are is required viewing in Article 37, section (C), subsection (B), paragraph (1), "Comedy Whodunnits."

BearCity is a Romantic Comedy. That's in subsection (A), paragraph (32).

Study, people!

A lot of posts have been coming up about Kierkegaard and his journals. Evidently there was a little symbol in his journal that meant he pleasured himself.

And I thought to myself, "Gosh, a journal. I have one of those. I should use it more often."

Then I checked ...

Now that there's a documentary about Where the Bears Are, I decided to watch all 7 seasons again before watching the it.

Hot bears and Margaret Cho! Classic!

Too bad it's not available on disc. When it is, I'll buy a copy. Until then, digital streaming it is!

John Candy: I Like Me is a great documentary. Well done. It was heartwarming that the titans of comedy showed up to pay tribute. I always loved him. He was my secret, on-screen crush.
