The AA says pothole-related call outs in January were up by 18% across the UK, with 6,235 in the East of England alone.

@gwr.com With the closure of the line between Oxford and Didcot Parkway this week, was it bot expected that more people would be using the Canal Line trains between Banbury and Oxford, and therefore it would've been prudent to increase the number of carriages on this already busy line from 2 to 3?

@oxfordshirecc.bsky.social The new booking system for trips to recycling centres is utterly ridiculous and, I fear, will only result in more fly tipping. The previous booking system was much easier to navigate.

The Government removing the requirement for functional skills means I can finally complete my work based apprenticeship. My tutor said that most of the questions on the maths papers were not "functional". I completely agree and had no bearing on the course I am taking, or my day to day work.

Every year we are encouraged to buy lots of calorie laden food and drink for the Christmas period, often over indulging and then inevitably complaining about the weight gain. Can we normalise eating normally and in moderation instead?
