To me after watching the film when he finally embraces Alexia as herself instead of Adrian it reminds me of a gender fluid journey. Could this me a metaphor for being seen as who you arE???

The dance during the party on top of the truck seems to signify some sort of pivotal change in the plot. ls Alex transforming into something new?

I don't understand the draw to have a father in adrian's dad. The connection they have later through dancing confuses me...

The killings are connected to pleasure. It is interesting how this always connects back to sexual pleasure as well. #bsueng490

The strong desire/attraction to metal/cars/titanium after the accident and having the surgery reminds me of "instinct" of some nature. I also don't understand the desire for pain... #bsueng490

It bothers me how Bob doesn't recognize her and how she has remembered him her entire life...

This is such a strong story of generational guilt and shame. Donna's house could pose as a metaphor to that overwhelming shame.

I have been in circles being viewed as a "Killjoy." I found this SUPER relatable. There needs to be a dramatic shift in society that confronting racism, sexism, or other is ruining people's comfortability.

I wonder if there is an allusion to satan with the snake?

I think the fact that Cassie accepted the proposal was a chance to start over and escape the past. Although, I think that it was ultimately just an easy way out.

Cassie is too emotionally invested. My prediction she is going to be killed because of it.

I wonder about the plane codes she finds, was she actually running away due to a pregnancy or because of the roommates??? #bsueng490

I predict Cassie is going to become too emotionally tied to embodying and becoming Lexi that it leads to her downfall.

I loved the connection we talked about in class to Carrie Bradshaw as a post-feminism example. We are being distracted by what we SHOULD be doing!!!

The pace and intensity of "The Likeness" is WAY more intriguing. I love the way that French in such a way I feel like I am unfolding the mystery with Sam, Cassie, and Frank.
