Week 17: I've lost a total of 2.6 pounds (up 2.5 pounds this week). My new habit change is to limit calories in drinks. I hate the bouncing up and down every week, but my muscle weight is up. Hopefully, this means I will have lost inches when I measure next week. #50by50journey

Lonesome Dove by Larry McMurtry. I'm glad I watched Yellowstone ahead of this. I think it helped my appreciation of the actual cowboy elements. There was a surprising amount of humor & an unsurprising amount of sexism. I'm glad I read it, but I won't read more of the series. #BookSky #BookReview

In 1972, a young Jesse Jackson stood on the steps of 123 Sesame Street and got a bunch of SOMEBODY kids to chant “I Am — Somebody," a poem written by civil rights activist Rev. William Holmes Borders Sr. in the early 1940s.

Week 16: I've lost a total of 5.5 pounds (down 2.2 pounds this week). My new habit change is to choose the turkey option in restaurants. Turkey is better for my blood type than pig, cow, or chicken. If I can keep the same pace as the past 2wks, I can get back on track to make my goal. #50by50journey
