My third novel THE SCENT OF ORANGES is out on 4 December 2024. A vivid retelling of Dickens’ Oliver Twist from the viewpoint of Nancy, it gives voice to one of literature’s most tragic and most maligned characters. The Scent of Oranges is probably the best thing I’ve ever written 🍊

I am bewildered. (Not an unusual state) I discovered that my latest book is in libraries all over Australia but not the library where I live. It isn’t even on order 🤷♀️ I don’t know what to say.
