Wow, I've read a lot of articles about people using AI to apply for roles automatically and fake job applicants posing as real people to get money for the DPRK, but I didn't really understand how rampant these problem were until we just recently posted a remote software eng position.

Gemini definitely beats ChatGPT for transcribing audio files. Tried to get ChatGPT to transcribe an MP3 of a Mandarin dialogue into pinyin and it kept failing to do so. Gemini did it pretty flawlessly on the first try.

Google Workspace actually does an amazing job with their product release note emails. Possibly the most useful email I get from vendors.

I normally give these "Gen Z" stories no heed, but calling a Diet Coke a "fridge cigarette" feels so spot on. During my 20s, a cold Diet Coke (from a can, not a bottle) was just perfection..I honestly had an easier time quitting smoking than quitting Diet Coke

Been trying to find different flashcard apps for studying very specific Chinese words and figured I'd try getting @anthropic.com's Claude to build something for me.
The first response from Claude was missing some steps, but after a second prompt, I had a functioning React + Node.js flashcard app.
