And another weekend is over 🥲 I spent almost all of it binge watching the first season of "The Pitt". Very good series so far. Now I'm back to working on my comic about quantum physics 😂 I need to send in the first draft at the end of the week so I really need to make some progess ⚛️

Hehe! Today I finally did a quantum jump for my comic about quantum physics 😌 the script turned out too long so I still need to shorten it a bit. But I'm very happy where this is going and can't wait to make the skribbles for the storyboard 😍

I'm happy that I'm making good progress with my webcomic "Flight of Fancy" since I picked it up again last November. I think, I can publish a new episode on Webtoon soon. I'll let you know as soon as it is up :) Until then you can (re)read the first three episodes on Webtoon.

It’s so frustrating. I try to get back on track with my normal work-life rhythm but I’ve still not back at 100% after being sick two weeks ago. I really want to continue jogging and going to the gym regularly 🥲

After one day of actually working on my comic my body said “nope, not yet” and became sick 🤒 that sucks. But it has a good side effect. I can’t remember the last time when I took three whole weeks off work and really relaxed.

My winter hibernation is finally over. Two weeks of blissfully ignoring everything that has to do with work and taking care of my health. I really needed that 🫢 2025 was not bad to me just very off balance. I want to try to be better to myself in 2026 and take more meaningful breaks 💐

It's the end of the year so it's Art vs Artist time :D
It was difficult to find 8 illustrations I could use, since I did mostly comic pages and book cover designs this year. It's an odd feeling looking back at the last 12 months. This year had some very intense lows but also wonderful highs 🍃

Since I currently don't have a big paid project I'm working on I always think in the morning: "Oh, this is going to be an easy day. Maybe I can finish early". And then "Swoosh" the day is over and I worked on a dozen things and nothing is really done 🥲

So I'm back from a very interesting comic workshop about quantum physics in Erlangen. It was so cool! I even saw a quantum computer and think I more or less understood, how it works 🫢 Now we comic artists need to find a way to put what we learned into a comic. Amazing!!! I'm so thankful ... 😌

Life seems like a constant stream of stuff I have to do. It's hard to be happy, that something is done when there is so much more stuff lining up that has to be done next 🥲 And the next big project is already around the corner.

Still sick 🤧 I think my body decided to force me to rest for a couple of days because I just won’t do it on my own 😬 so I’ll just accept it and spend another day on the couch.
And I try to not think too much about my to do list that already haunts me in my dreams 🫣

One shitty new thing about the AI era is that even with the jobs that *haven’t* been taken away by AI, almost every client now sends me AI-generated reference pictures. Almost as if to tell me that they absolutely would replace me with AI if it could do all the things they need.
