Those auto makers will be left behind. Fossil fuels are not the future. Here in Canada we have poured enough cash into the “big three.” Time for a change! I look forward to more competition and other car manufacturers to build here!

I agree. The Am automakers have actually walked back THEIR plans to build EVs.Trump doesn't support them. They'll move more prodt'n to the US. In 🇨🇦 we need to buy vehicles made here & boycott US manufactured cars. More choice at a lower price is good for Canadians. Now we need to build them here.

I don't see this move as backsliding.Instead of the hammer, he's using incentives to change behaviour. Canadians didn't have much choice. It's obvious Trump & manufacturers are not cooperating. With the introduction of more affordable Chinese EVs, other manufacturers will be more likely to compete.
