Love this! Sesame Street lives on!

The children's series has found a new streaming home — Netflix, PBS stations and PBS KIDS will air new episodes on the same day. And Netflix will also run 90 hours from the Sesame Street library.
How to get to Sesame Street? Kids can now head to Netflix as well as PBS

As an elected officials with residents in that facility, Mayor Ras Baraka should never have been treated as a criminal and Members of Congress should never have been treated roughly. If they would treat elected leaders this way, how do you think they would treat regular folks?
Menendez Jr: They feel no weight of the law and no restraint on what they should be doing. And that was shown in broad daylight today when they not just arrested the Mayor of Newark but when they put their hands on two members of congress standing behind me. How is this acceptable?

Our creativity, our stories, our practices of love cannot be taken away from us. But it’s our responsibility to choose to wield these superpowers to fight oppression and work towards collective liberation. I believe in us.

I had a lunch meeting with a funder today and I felt so seen for my whole self, and not just output. I feel affirmed as an artist and as cultural leader. I hope this rare moment becomes more commonplace.

Pete Hegseth in 2016: "The people we rely on to do dangerous and difficult things for us rely on one thing from us: That we will not... be reckless with the dangerous things they are doing for us. That's the national security implications of a private server that's unsecured."

The unlawful abduction and detention of Mahmoud Khalil is a direct attack on our first amendment rights. This is outright fascism. Free Mahmoud Khalil!
“If the state can deprive an individual of his freedom simply because of his politics, which is what appears to have happened [to Mahmoud Khalil], then no one is safe,” @adamserwer.bsky.social writes: theatln.tc/87FfKC8B

All the reading I’m doing is making me want to write. It’s also reigniting my desire to go to grad school. In the current cultural inflection, where this country is now inciting under-education reflected in the dismantling of the dept of ed - the more I want to pursue higher education.

Went to bed 2 hours early, only to just start attempting sleep because I could not put down We Gon’ Be Alright by Jeff Chang until I finished the last chapters. Now, I wonder if I’ll be able to sleep because my mind and spirit is riled up with so many questions and deep self-reflection.

My loves, sharing the second book of my #studieswithyou series We Gon’ Be Alright: Notes on Race and Resegregation written by Jeff Change @zentronix.bsky.social . The historical analysis in this book helps us understand where we are right now amidst racial backlash and attacks on DEI initiatives.

A good reminder. Now is not the time to be on the fence. Bringing back a slogan from the gay rights movement: Silence = Death.

NO DEI, NO DOLLAR! ALL HANDS ON DECK!

May this be the first 24 hours of shifting our consumer practices. Keep our money in our communities.

Organized by The People’s Union, this boycott urges consumers to halt their spending at major retailers, fast-food chains and gas stations for a full day.

Recently, Meta decided to end its third-party fact checking program, paving way for more divisive rhetoric and outright lies to spread and erode democracies around the world. @mariaressa.bsky.social reminds us that collaboration will help us win and to not become the monster to fight the monster.
