I’d love to hear residents thoughts on this. I do plan to write to the commission on a few points - the most unsurprising one being that I enthusiastically agree my riding’s name should change.

How does the NWT’s healthcare compare to the rest of Canada?

Healthcare in the NWT has its fair share of issues. How does it hold up when compared to the rest of the country? We talked to experts and looked at the data.

It’s genuinely refreshing that our political system affords us the opportunity to meet with constituents and provide access to both serious conversations and an opportunity to let out our inner kids.

So are we using this space for casual conversation? Like old school twitter? I am not on the apps as much as I once was.

As someone who has processed literally hundreds if not thousands of ATIPP requests, what the….?
Going through responses to information requests can often turn up quirky little tidbits. Currently going through messages where the GNWT redacted a photo of a cat due to unreasonable invasion of a third party's personal privacy.

Learning to give a fair hearing to others is also something I saw governments fail at routinely, never realizing it translated pretty directly into a loss of trust and credibility with those whose concerns and ideas they were not really listening to.

Lessons from Irshad Manji on how to talk with people you disagree with that governments could learn from, too. Talking to win, not to hear or learn, was a mistake I watched politicians make all the time. All it did was breed mistrust and spoil chances for collaboration.

Session is back and we are reviewing the 2025-26 budget.

On Wednesday, our first day back, I urged the Premier to be bold as this moment does demand us to do so:
