I’m learning how to sew, and used my woollen handwoven panels made on my #rididheddle loom. Big learning curve, and am keen to make more clothes. #wearyourweaving #handsewn

Here’re the original colours of the fibres before blending on my drumcarder. I love the resulting lavender coloured handspun yarn.

I love blending fibre in my drumcarder; look at that lovely lavender! I bought the pink and blue tops cheaply, at my local woollen mill, as discard fibre. It’s so handy to experiment with, lucky me! #handspinning #fibreprep

First project of 2026 is the chevron sweater from Noro pattern book, using some wildly coloured handspun yarn. #knittingwithhandspun #handspinning

I love wearing vests with my dresses. This is another Pelica Vest. #showmeyourknitting #slowfashion #handknit

I struggled with the pattern instructions for this Pelica Vest, and had to redo the shoulder bits a couple of times, but this seamless knit was worth it. Made with my 3ply handspun from 2 Corriedale sheep. #handspun

Chonky skeins, this came to 355g and handspun in DK weight. No idea what to make with it yet, do it goes into storage. Made from handdyed fleece and commercial tops, and drumcarded also with wool left over from our local mills. It’s an upcycled mishmash! #handspunyarn

Prepping for a mermaid coloured spinning session. Mostly alpaca, some handdyed merino fleece, and really old fibre stash from Bendigo Woollen Mills #fibreprep #drumcarder.

I love how rustic this turned out. Warped with my handspun and found this natural coloured, thick n thin spun yarn in a thrift shop. So pleased!! #rigidheddle #handspun

Up next on the needles and I think my 3ply handspun will do nicely. #knittingwithhandspun handspinner

Used Landscape dyes on a light grey Corriedale fleece and carded up this lovely batt on my Ashford drumcarder. #drumcarding #handspinner

I love making soap, there’s so much variety and creativity involved. Practical, useful consumables, and perfect for gift giving. This year I made them with 50% tallow and 50%plant oils..it’s so much cheaper! #coldprocesssoaps #handmadesoaps

Well hello there, handdyed fleece into pretty yarn. #handspun

I make soap too, a huge batch once a year, enough to supply the family. New recipe this year includes tallow; it makes the soap hard and lasts longer. I add essential oils too, here is Basil/Lemongrass, and behind is Eucalyptus /Lavender. #coldprocesssoap #soapmaking

These handdyed batts were so much fun to make, but I’m back to processing my monochrome fleece again! #handdyed #fibreprep

That was fun; this 60g and only a single pass on the drumcarder. #cardedbatt #handspinning

I need a bit of colour today, and am keen to start dyeing these locks for more fibre play on my new drumcarder. Fleece is Corriedale x Border Leicester and there’s a bit of English Leicester too. #handyeing #fiberprep

I used to be really strict on myself to achieve a machine like consistency when spinning yarn, and I can do that. But lately I’m all for handspun that looks a little sloppy, more thick n thin. It knits and weaves up so nicely. I guess having skills that can produce both at will is 👌👌#handspun

And this woven wrap is finished. I love the colour play- yarn came from BendigoWoollen Mills. I rarely buy yarn but this handspun lookalike was irresistible! #handwoven #rigidheddle
