Justin Anderson, who lives nearby, said he repeatedly heard cries coming from the foster mother’s home and finally decided to step in.—————————In the video recorded on November 22nd, Anderson confronts the foster mother, Kandice Thompson, while the young woman can be heard crying and calling out in distress from inside the kennel. “I get home and I hear someone screaming like that,” Anderson is heard saying in the footage. “Look at your face. You hear that precious child.” During the exchange, Anderson speaks directly to the victim, asking how often she had been locked inside the kennel. The young woman responds quietly but clearly, saying it happened “a lot.”—————————Thompson was later arrested on multiple felony charges, including aggravated kidnapping, injury to a disabled person with intentional serious bodily injury, and unlawful restraint.
