Anytime I think it can't be worse, it gets worse. Canada is already talking about tolls on trucks coming to Alaska. What happens if they close the border all together? All the perishables won't last on storage containers. This is insane.

New years eve Alaska

Happy new year, from Alaska! New years eve northern lights!

Those lights were above both bases and the city of Anchorage. I tried to photograph but couldn't get good photos. This happened 2 nights in a row. 2nd night I was standing there I saw lights approaching me but herd no sound. It turned out to be 1 of ours. It was silent until it passed.

I live in Eagle River Alaska. Next to me is Elmendorf air force base, Fort Rich military base. I am 5 miles from an artillery range. I am used to hearing and seeing things in the area.
On 11/28 I took my dogs out at 2am. Looking up I saw dozens of orange lights moving around.They were very high.
