I used to go to record fairs, looking for rare stuff or something that caught my eye. Picked this up and a Miles Davis collection decades ago hoping they might be good. The world absolutely changed.

Strangely, In my book about the Dead I originally used the term ‘yacht rock’ to describe ‘heaven help…’ but the editor wasn’t happy about it and that was the end of it 🤣

Sure I saw him several times in pantomime in Glasgow as a kid. He’s always been a legendary figure here, the TV stuff was strangely seen as supplemental to his panto work.

Favourite memory of Glasgow’s #CCA was probably seeing Keiji Haino and Jandek (“a representative of Corwood industries”) as a double bill. Quite astonishing.
