Last night I was flying from ATL to BWI. It was delayed 2 hours (possibly due to the Toronto accident but who knows). We got stuck for a little while in the jet bridge after the long delay.
The lady in front of me made her annoyances very clear - swaying, huffing, puffing

Google Maps decided to change the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America on their platform (but “Gulf of Mexico(Gulf of America)” at a certain scale for some reason?). As a professional cartographer, I can assure you that change will not be reflected elsewhere.

This map is 3 years old, so this isn’t accurate for a few states today but still helps to get an overall picture. There are 9.7 million people in Los Angeles county. Imagine how many of their homes have the misfortune of being built in the fire’s path.
