Clearly Germans have taken over Microsoft Word.

Sentence: "[Author] encourages us to see how and why [topic] is an important element of the soldiers' story."

Suggested correction: "an important element of the soldiers' story is."

Microsoft Word's suggestions often cause me to laugh out loud. This morning, Word suggested I change "120 to 180 book pages" to "120 to 180 pages of book."

I like it. I think it should become the industry standard.

Steve is one of our favorite authors here at @univpressofkansas.bsky.social, and it's a real honor to be his publisher!
Next year my publisher will be issuing a new printing of ‘The Lost Soul of the American Presidency’ that includes a new preface written after the recent presidential election. Needless to say, things have gotten worse.

There is nothing dearer to my heart than reading two very positive reports on a manuscript I love and want to publish.

It never gets old, and it never diminishes.

Hear, hear! A breath of fresh air, whereas The Other Medium became increasingly suffocating.
I open my Bluesky feed and it is full of really cool people saying really smart things and being really passionate about really interesting stuff.

I like this version of social media, and the world.

Thanks, folks.
