I loved Sinners for the same reasons I hated Lilo & Stitch live action.
Sinners was all heart and care and it really delivered the underlying messages in such an artful way.
Lilo & Stitch took away the central messages from the original movie and turned it into so much propaganda it hurt.

Guys I helped graft this Avocado tree on my Uncle's property on Moloka'i and she's taken the graft 🥺 I'm so proud and honored. I hope she'll feed many when she begins to fruit. 🥰

For those that are unaware: Hawaiians have a specific thing we do when we meet eachother. It was established during Pre-colonial times, but we still practice it today. We share our Mo'oku'auhau, or genealogy, with eachother. Someone who can't or refuses to do that often seems suspicious to us.

I am by no means defending the casting of Sydney Agudong as Nani, but can we stop saying they painted her face? She's mixed with filipino (at least), and will tan in the sun. I..... yes as kanaka I would have preferred kanaka to play the role. But let's stop pretending this girl is full white.
