Professor of Research Methodologies in Education @ VCU, focusing on quantitative methodologies, critical quantitative methods, and queer and trans studies.
For all the hand wringing on the left about trans rights being difficult for democrat candidates, last night should be a lesson. The rep VA governor candidate ran on an anti trans platform (with constant and vile TV and radio ads) and lost in a landslide.

My tip as an editor for reviewers: If I've asked you to review a revision, all I really want is to know if you feel your prior comments have been addressed. You likely don't need a second extremely close read. This is also not the moment to raise new issues (unless the revision introduced them).

I'm at that stage of my writing process where I've organized my files, updated my whiteboard, and deep cleaned my office, and I got my syllabus in order for Fall.

In personal news, we recently adopted a new dog in our house. And I figured plenty of people scrolling these days might like some cuteness. Her name is Luma (after Super Mario Galaxy) and she’s 2/3 foxhound 1/3 beagle and she is both very cute and a total mess and we love her.
