Binge reader (anything and everything but predominantly fantasy, sci-fi, thriller). Occasionally review books. Enchanted by native birds and insects (especially kākā and wētā) visiting the garden.
Just back from my first reading retreat hosted by www.busywithbooks.com/wairarapa-se... Powered through a stack of titles on my TBR! Fantastic weekend.

Just had a lovely chat with the nephew of the
original owner of this Thompson’s Chain Reference Bible. A bit of sleuthing, tracking improvised bookmarks, and the bush telegraph - we managed to track them down within 24 hours. Will be returning this treasure asap. 🇳🇿📚💙

Listen to your children read. Read to your children. Read alongside your children. Take them to libraries. Talk about what reading means to you & what it can unlock.
Tell them it doesn’t matter if it’s comics, magazines or books as long as they’re engaged with the written word. #WorldBookDay

Please please ALT TEXT YOUR IMAGES.

I'm seeing so many cool things lately that I can't share because they don't have alt text.

If you want your art, your screenshots, your message to get to a wider audience on here, the simple action of writing alt text for it will help.
