Based on the beloved video game, 'Exit 8' is a very dramatic version of spot-the-difference. I enjoyed it, even if it puts you through one too many loops.

'Death of a Unicorn' is disappointing. Another entry into the genre I call 'Eat the Rich' fatigue - broad class satires that offer nothing original or creative. An enticing premise is wasted on shoddy vfx and bad messaging.

Disney's Snow White's newly revised Princess of the People fails to rejuvenate Disney's waning kingdom.

'The Alto Knights' tries very hard to recreate the success of Nicholas Pileggi's previous writing credits on 'Casino' and 'Goodfellas', but even Scorsese would be shaking his head. Double De Niro does not equal double the fun.

I haven't had as much catty fun in a movie since Conclave until I watched Steven Soderbergh's 'Black Bag'.
In channelling a John le Carré novel, it is a taut, slick chamber piece pairing romance and espionage. Highly recommend!

As technology allows us to escape further and further from reality , 'Eat the Night' is a dark reminder of late-stage capitalism's effect on the real and virtual world. I was captivated as equally as I was emotionally drained.

I did not expect to enjoy the last entry in the Bridget Jones series, but I was pleasantly surprised. Everyone's favourite hapless, romcom heroine's final diary entry is witty, charming, and unexpectedly moving. Hugh Grant on fire. Review at @thisisfilm.bsky.social

'Magic Beach' is a well-intentioned experiment that stays playing in the shallows. With a narrative as thin as angel hair spaghetti - It's frustrating at best and a tired gimmick at worst. The craft is admirable.
