As a conflict historian focused on propaganda and extremism, I am spending a lot of time on the newspaper industry for my last academic class in the PhD program HIUS 713 American Entrepreneurship Since 1900. Sunday will be the halfway mark for the class. Looking forward to comps and dissertation.

Starting to understand Parrot Heads. Listening to Pandora, and the Jimmy Buffett song Breath in, Breath out, Move on came on. It inspired this little graphic and a strong urge to get back on a sailboat for a month or two. A circumnavigation of the Earth has been a dream goal of mine since childhood.

My academic areas of interest are the #IndustrialRevolution, #GildedAge, & #ProgressiveEra and the environment and technologies that enabled them & allowed them to progress; #powersystems, #transportation, & #communications — also, the #bibliographic, #preservation, & #teaching fields.

HIST 706 Digital History, I'm almost sad there are only three weeks left. This will also put a wrap on my MA in Public History.

Working on a ArcGIS mapping project this week. I am going to have fun with tool in the future.
