Haven’t been able to get this passage from Rebecca Solnit’s “The Loneliness of Donald Trump,” off my mind since Obama in avoidant attention masked his way through T*ump’s conversational bids at President Carter’s service, after which T*ump said of Obama, ‘I think he likes me.’
A revolution to preserve human dignity doesn’t even need to be successful because it’s an existential issue. The only thing it needs is the clarity that says, we will no longer be what abusive authority asks us to be and we will not become what it asks us to become.

The fragility is bananas. The illusion of white supremacy and the lengths white supremacy goes to sustain that illusion is the actual story. The issue’s fundamentally rooted in mask and deception.

Officially ‘Cloud Dancer.’ Never mind folks who tattoo my faith systems on their bodies as souvenirs, the Native energy here is nuts. What is missing from the non-melaninated psyche that won’t simply inhabit itself? Jesus, take racism away, are you good? Are you kind? Do you uplift w/o lowering?

I wake up screaming like everybody else and, granted, there’s a lot going on in my head, but ftr, my inner voice is mostly James Earl Jones telling me he doesn’t have to like me.

What’s uncanny is that their real life selves are so much deeper in uncanny valley than their amusing robot selves.

Maybe it’s coincidence, probably not. What fundamental essential piece of the self is absent, and what systems forbid its development, to crave and wear other identity so much.

Thought this was my HS copy of Thoreau, but checked and it’s actually my dad’s 1960 schoolbook, signature of ownership inside 😮

Once again, this is a massive public jobs program for fascists.

I don’t think anyone is prepared for what they just did w/ ICE.
This is not a simple budget increase. It is an explosion - making ICE bigger than the FBI, US Bureau of Prisons, DEA,& others combined.
It is setting up to make what’s happening now look like child’s play. And people are disappearing.
