I testified against HB900 in the last session, as did an eighth-grader. If you fall anywhere between "published author" and "middle schooler," love the freedom to read, and can make it to to the Capitol in Austin this Thursday to testify, I hope you will.
🚨🚨🚨RED ALERT, Texas book lovers. This bill (SB13) will be heard in committee on Thursday. Now is the time to let lawmakers know how bad it is. #BookSky

Very proud of - and thankful for - the incredible students and parent volunteers who spoke at tonight's LISD School Board meeting in celebration of our many community programs! I am lucky to work with great people, and I love learning with them every day! #MyStudentsAreFantastic #LoveMyVolunteers

I'm continually surprised by the power of things like coloring posters, the Lego table, chess sets, Rubik's cubes, and domino building stations in my MS library. Different students talk to and teach each other, and it's a great way to invite people to come together.

Excited to rebuild a positive network of educators, librarians, writers, and other creators! Happy to connect with learners - what voices in education are not-to-be-missed?
