I've never been good at handles, so I've challenged myself to create a variety of differently handled forms to identify a handling technique that I enjoy.

I think I will keep posting these mugs of improvement as I continue on this journey

New lidded form, fresh from the kiln. Some lids pop off easily, others need some encouragement.

I left my porcelain reclaim unaddressed for too long, resulting in roughly 22 lbs for me to process. Spiral wedging is a great technique for removing air bubbles from and homogenizing moisture levels in your clay.

Trimming a porcelain jar using the modular carbide trim tool I designed and built using surplus industrial materials - the carbide bits are industrial planer teeth, and the post is an internally threaded stainless steel 3d printer guide-rod.
