Rumblings of Liverpool advancing for a deal to get Jacquet from Rennes. One for the summer but still good to see CB position being addressed
February 1, 2026 at 9:35 PM
Terrific second half performance and the team didn’t fall apart after going 1-0 down. Progress. Wirtz looking the player we expected. Ekitike is damn near unstoppable. Didn’t look too out of sorts defensively. Huge result and it’s needed again next weekend. Confidence growing?
January 31, 2026 at 10:16 PM
It’s crazy to think Ekitike probably won’t even play for France this summer

The year of our Lord 2026 and I still see Liverpool fans wanting the club to sign Adama Traore. Send the locusts

Some people take what managers/players say in press conferences way too seriously. Mostly it’s all nonsense. Answering questions while saying as little as possible. It’s more a duty to them rather than truly trying to provide anything of substance. Heads have fallen off over Slot’s comments today
January 27, 2026 at 8:16 PM
Slot and the team haven’t figured out how to play against teams who sit deep and counter. It’s been the same all season. I’d bet on LFC to beat Barcelona PSG or Bayern before Qarabag. That’s the part that worries me most. There’s no end in sight either
January 24, 2026 at 8:44 PM
Liverpool just can’t get it going in the league. Frimpong coming off and moving Dom to RB was a weird one to me. Defending a long throw at the end of the game shouldn’t be that hard for players of their calibre but we can’t do it. Not good enough in the final third again. So much to work on still
January 24, 2026 at 7:35 PM
No shortage of talking points. Two awful goals to concede. Virgil redeems himself to get a goal back. The glaring need for a CB is even more obvious now than before. Need to bring on Ektike for Gakpo. Having him drift wide left and run behind is more of a threat in this formation than Gakpo is
January 24, 2026 at 6:20 PM
Wirtz has to shoot there also. Terrible decisions in the box back to back
January 24, 2026 at 5:45 PM
That’s a horrendous decision from Salah to pass there
January 24, 2026 at 5:41 PM
Box midfield again as was against Marseille? Is this the new way forward? Maybe for this season at least
January 24, 2026 at 5:27 PM
The defending for the Semenyo goal is atrocious. Why didn’t Wolves defend like that against Liverpool
January 24, 2026 at 4:05 PM
That shouldn’t be a penalty against Wolves. Mosquera is trying to reach out to Marmoush then Marmoush just flicks it up on to his arm. That would’ve been very harsh. Good on the ref to stick with the original decision
January 24, 2026 at 3:39 PM
Hopefully another good win for Liverpool tomorrow. Watched the Marseille game earlier and I was impressed with how well Liverpool were able to exploit how open Marseille were set up. Bournemouth won’t be that open so will Liverpool revert back to league form? We’ll see

Selling a vice captain in the middle of the season? I’m not convinced of this one Richard

Guehi to Man City done. Curious where he is in the pecking order come next season if there’s a new manager plus Gvardiol and Dias healthy again. Wouldn’t shock me if he’s a rotation player more often than not
January 19, 2026 at 3:43 PM
No doubt the result yesterday wasn’t good enough but I thought the first half performance was as good as we’ve seen in a while. No idea what happened second half. Again they fall apart when allowing a goal. I’m not certain Alonso would change it if he came in now
January 18, 2026 at 2:55 PM
Might as well just drop the case and just let it go at this point. Why bother ruling on a case 3 years later for something that would’ve happened roughly a decade or so ago? PL should just say “yeah they cheated but we can’t do anything. Hopefully they don’t keep doing it”
Guehi takes City to almost half a billion net spend since Dec 2024, when 115/130 hearing ended

Sources say it could take at least another year - with no one knowing when the 3 judges will have the initial judgment - provoking core Qs about this process

I see the irrational takes on City signing Guehi has spilled over to here also 🤦🏻‍♂️
January 16, 2026 at 4:44 PM
£20m for Guehi? What happened to that talk of £40m? 🙄
January 16, 2026 at 2:29 PM
And we seriously need to be pushing more for this case against City to reach a decision. It’s absurd how long it’s taking. Was supposed to be over last spring. Then the fall. Now it’s 2026 and no end in sight. They’re just making a mockery of the sport and the rules
January 16, 2026 at 1:28 PM
Not all that bothered if Guehi goes to City. There’s plenty other CB options that are quality players. My issue is whether or not we sign one of them this month. I’m skeptical. Doesn’t have to be Guehi for me but we do need one

The career path this man has taken since leaving Leipzig for Chelsea. My goodness

Genuinely don’t understand those who want Slot sacked due to underwhelming performances and poor results only to hire a manager that was just sacked for underwhelming performances and poor results.
