Take time. Check in with them. Determine what they need. Be open to offering needed supports EVEN IF they don’t have an IEP. Let them know you’re here to support them through this.

I mentioned to my 22yo this afternoon that I was watching one of her favourite movies.
"That's ... great. I can just stream it whenever I want without commercials, though, so no thanks!"

Tonight/tomorrow starts the rejigging of my sleep schedule: aim to be asleep by 11, alarm set for 8.
In a couple of days, I'll shift to 10/7, and then, ideally, 9/6 so I'm back on track.
