I know that banning social media is a bad precedent but TikTok and other doomscrolling apps like Instagram are awful for society and people. Nothing of value is being lost.

It needs to be studied how Black Clover starts as complete dogshit and just gets exponentially better and better each arc. Witches Forest, Royal Knights, Elf Resurrection, and Heart/Spade Kingdom are all peak. Really hope we get the anime continuation announced sometime before 2030

Finished Ghost of Tsushima and all I can is what a fucking amazing game. Its visuals are gorgeous, the combat is incredible, and Jin is one of my favorite protagonists ever, he’s so well written.

Watched the first episodes for Apothecary Diaries S2 and Sakamoto Days. AD was great as expected and Maomao is as funny as always. Sakadays was much better than I thought it would be. The animation is rough, but it somehow works and I really liked it. Hoping it keeps the momentum going.

I just got a Ninja Creami Ice Cream maker and it is very much worth the hype. You can throw literally anything into it and get good ice cream. The one downside is you gotta freeze whatever you’re making overnight but most things only take 5 minutes to prep so very little active time in the kitchen

Every few months I go down a rabbit hole of rewatching the Naruto Shippuden openings because they're all so fucking good. I wish I could erase my memory and watch the whole show again for the first time.

Binged the U20 arc episodes for Blue Lock S2. The production quality is still shit but it was actually enjoyable since the arc itself was good, unlike 3rd Selection which was a slog. The final segment of the game was amazing, imagine if the entire show had that level of animation 😭

Finished Squid Game S2. Not as good as S1 and I have a lot of gripes here and there, but it’s still great. The cliffhanger ending lowkey didn’t bother me too much, S3 has a lot of ground to cover though because there were plot lines introduced that really didn’t move forward much at all.

I think a big reason why anime is popular because it’s a very “graspable” medium. You can watch for a couple years and have seen most big/popular shows and have huge overlap with other anime fans so there’s a lot to discuss. Episodes are only 20 minutes and most shows are quick watches at 4-8 hours

It was eye opening learning today that the majority of women, even liberal, wouldn’t date a bi man
And the justifications I’ve seen are actually insane, like assuming they’re likely to cheat/have STDs, or just straight up saying it’s “weird” or “unmanly” for a man to fuck another man

Perfect is a very strong word but I think Frieren is a perfect anime. I can’t even think of a single point of criticism, everything about it was amazing from start to finish.
Watching it every week felt like a lifechanging experience for me.

Kagurabachi’s panelling and art is so fucking good, Hokazono just gets it. Some of these won’t make sense without story context but if you’ve read it you know.

Netflix already announced that we're getting another Cyberpunk anime but since Trigger's busy with Delicious in Dungeon S2 there's no way it's from them😭
I liked DnD a bit more than Edgerunners so I'm happy they're doing it but idk if there's another studio that can match the energy Trigger brought

I know people love the new art direction the CSM Reze movie is taking, but I’ll miss how S1 looked. The cinematography, gritty tone and realistic color palette all came together to create something amazing. The only other time I’ve been that wowed by an anime’s art direction was was Tatami Galaxy

Nobody can ever convince me that Spy x Family would be better if it got rid of the slice of life/comedy parts and focused on plot progression. They are the best parts of the show and both help me care about the characters more and make the important arcs more meaningful.

The reason romance animes struggle past confessions is that the MCs have boring dynamics and all the enjoyment comes from the “will they won’t they” and character drama
And unsurprisingly once you’re at the point where all you have is the MCs interacting with no clear goals in mind, it’s boring.
