hi all. today i started a new role as the community director of @elestrals.bsky.social, which is a super rad independent card game that i have not been able to stop playing. aDrive and the team are so driven and have a clear vision of what makes a game fun.

It always amazes me just how high on the corporate ladder a complete moron can climb.
Matt Turnbull, Executive Producer at Xbox Game Studios Publishing - after the Microsoft layoffs - suggesting on Linkedin that may maybe people who have been let go should turn to AI for help. He seriously thought posting this would be a good idea.

Networking & Outreach
“Draft a friendly message I can send to old coworkers letting them know I’m exploring new opportunities.”

No AI tool is a replacement for your voice or your lived experience. But at a time when mental energy is scarce, these tools can help get you unstuck faster, calmer, and with more clarity.

I've seen some idiotic decisions from the @playhearthstone.bsky.social management team in the past, but this one beats them all.
brief update - my contract with blizzard has concluded. i'm hopeful to return, but i won't be available for hearthstone stuff after today
