I was going to go to the cinema this afternoon, but an awful rainstorm started up just as I was getting ready to leave. It's too late to cancel my booking, but too nasty outside to actually go out.

It took my longer than I'd like to get started on some actual writing today - I am easily distractible, it seems, no matter where my desk is or what I'm looking at.
I've done a little warm-up snippet, but I need to break for lunch soon. Probably not much point trying to force it.

As much as I love the AO3 kudos e-mails that show one reader has gone through all my stories in a day, I equally love the ones that show me a dozen different readers have found my work, all on the same day - it's the knowledge that I brought a few minutes of pleasure to so many people all at once.

Good morning, loves! I had planned for today to be a full writing day, but after a busy few days out of the apartment, I think I need to take it easy, at least for the morning. Especially as I'm out all day tomorrow at an event. So I think it will be a reading morning instead.
