Every time I watch CowboyBebop, I get the urge to draw something, but I always end up doing nothing. After 28 rewatches, I finally did a sketch today.

Day 13:
I used the game characters to practice functions and linked their attributes. It feels a bit complicated—any simpler way?
(P.S. No wonder programmers use vertical screens—code gets long!)

Day 12:
Today I learned about functions. They’re like packing up scattered code and labeling each package so you can easily reuse it later. Is that the right?

Day 12:
I tried to challenge AI to write a small program for calculating averages, and I totally lost. The AI’s code was not only simpler, but it even patched up the gaps in mine!

Day 11:
Today I learned about the while loop and used it to create a password input simulation.

Give me 9 seconds

Day10:
Today, I learned about nesting – lists and dictionaries can be nested within each other. But if dictionaries can nest dictionaries, do we still need lists for nesting? I learned it, but some parts are still unclear.

Day9:
I tried focusing on dictionaries today, but the boredom got to me, and I ended up dozing off... I know the basics are important, so I found some real-life examples to try out. Here's a simple electronic wallet simulation.

Day8:
I learned about conditional statements and practiced with the previous example.

Day7:
Today I learned about if statements. It feels really intuitive and easy to get, and I have a sense it can be used for a lot of things, though I’m not sure where exactly yet...
The example I tried was just a joke, inspired by a post I saw from a guy (laughs).

Day_6:
Learned list slicing and list comprehension today. It's pretty cool—list comprehension lets me do in a few lines what used to take more code. Found some advanced uses online, and with 'if' statements, I can do even more!

Day_5:
Today I learned about for loops, but I only have a basic understanding of them.

Day4:
Trying to draw Itachi Uchiha without making any changes.
January 19, 2025 at 6:03 AM
Day_4:
Today I learned how to work with lists... though I'm not exactly sure what they’re for yet. I guess they could be used to store things like user information?

Day_3:
Biggest takeaway today: using the math library for simple calculations like π. Can't believe I didn't think of this in school. Also, comments keep the code neat!

Day_2:
Practice drawing hands
January 17, 2025 at 12:59 PM
Day_2:Today, I learned how to print characters, use spaces and line breaks, and got a feel for floating-point numbers and integers. Managed to get a 'Hello World' working, but it feels like I'm putting in more effort than I should for these basic things. lol.

Day 1:
I’m starting with 《Python Crash Course》 because it’s easy to follow, and “Programming with Mosh” for some extra practice.

I went with PyCharm as my IDE since it’s great for Python and the interface just feels better to me.

I rarely post on social media, but this time I want to change that. I'll be recording my daily progress in Python and drawing, hoping that having someone keep track will help me stay consistent and see how quickly I might give up.
