In a quiet back staircase of Champness Hall sat a broken and bruised memorial. A haunting reminder of those that had given the ultimate sacrifice. It lay for years, covered under delicate layers of cobwebs, until it was rescued. #history #rescued #restore #haunting #beautiful #photograph
