There’s a @littlefreelibrary.bsky.social I go by & exchange books. Today a 9ish yr old came by & started talking. “Is this your little library“ I asked. “I keep an eye on it” she responded. We talked a good while about books & life. Upon parting she said “and I knit, too!” …

This tickled me on a blustery Thursday. A spider plant seed took hold in the Norfolk Island pine pot. Goody😊

Been a few years since we’ve seen much snow in northern VA, so remember-
Put a couple pieces of cardboard in the car in case you get a tire spinning.
Saved me numerous times!
Be safe & have fun! 🤪🥶

View at a red light. Passing thru Manassas National Battlefield Park, couple weeks ago. Leaves have turned & fallen now.
The stone house is where folks gathered to watch the fighting. (Very early in the fight, before reality struck). A tavern then.

Probably a little weird, but reading Winnie the Pooh, & enjoying the drawings has been quite calming & restorative for me this week.
🤷‍♀️I’m in my second childhood, I guess 😉

The best talisman for quick service is a good book😉. Seldom fails!
Forgot one yesterday & the wait for vaccines was half an hour. I went back today with the book I’m enjoying, basically no waiting. 🤷‍♀️🥴😉.

Mooched this Mimosa Pudica from my son. I’ll enjoy it thoroughly till it succumbs to apt. living 🤷‍♀️ It’s a plant that closes its leaves when touched. In the evening, too. I think.

Just wondering, what’s climate change going to do to our needlework? That is, what do we knit now? Who needs a cozy quilt? Or afghan ? Or socks! Not to mention hats! And lovely shawls and jackets 🫣😳 And, and…
Sorry, knitting grandma having a little breakdown 😬🥴
