A major update to the CONSORT reporting guidance for clinical trials was published last week.
📌 CONSORT 2025 replaces all previous versions and should be used from now on.
So what’s new and what’s different? 1/7

I’m extremely proud to be a patient representative, and very lucky to combine this with research designed to make a difference. This paper forms one part of a much larger suite of work to improve care for vascular patients :-)

If you ever want to hear something immensely sensible, throughly thought out, and on the pulse of things in the sector, just read anything @lizziegadd.bsky.social says.
New from me: Given we're half-way through the REF cycle & the financial challenges in the sector, should we see this as a 'stepping-stone REF' when it comes to people, culture & environment? Can we make better use of existing mechanisms such as Codes of Practice & ‘REF3’ data? What do you think?
NEW on Wonkhe: Can we use things we already measure to examine research culture in REF 2029? For Elizabeth Gadd there is scope to make better use of existing measures to improve research culture for everyone https://bit.ly/3ErKxWn

I realise I got out of the practice of being on social media (a definite reaction to deterioration of things in the ‘other place’)

But my word it’s worth posting when so many meetings today have been with FABULOUS women. Laughing to the point of crying & nodding furiously at brilliant talks. Bravo!
