I wrote an essay about 18th-century arguments for slavery-reparations, which is now available in Philosophers' Magazine. It focuses on arguments by Black antislavery activists in Massachusetts, so I'm glad it came out during Black History Month! #philsky #academicsky #blackhistory

I keep hearing people say that in the digital age, it’s no longer important for books to have an index. I don’t get that at all—there are so many things you can easily find in a good index, but not in a searchable ebook or PDF! Examples are in the comments below (feel free to add more). #AcademicSky
