Graduated from the University of Oxford with a DPhil (PhD) in English this weekend! ✨ I'm going to be doing bits & pieces of teaching at Oxford this autumn, but otherwise am actively looking for lectureships/postdocs/RA positions - please get in touch if you know of anything relevant!
My beloved bestie Jimin has written a brilliant debut novel, and I'm so excited that the rest of the world will get to read it next year! 🎉🎉
I'm thrilled to share that my debut novel, Lessons in Attention, will be out with @tinhouse.bsky.social in 2026! A testament to faith, friendship, and how people change us, it follows a series of friends as they attempt to reach one another across Oxford, Oslo, Brazil. Can't wait to share it 🤗

Very happy to share the speaker list for "Modernist Life Righting: Corrective Self-Portraiture in the 20th and 21st Century", a two day conference I've co-organized with Ronan Crowley. Taking place later this month at @goetheuni.bsky.social. Look at this amazing lineup of speakers!!

3.5 years and 90,719 words later, I finally passed my DPhil English viva with no corrections last week! I'm immensely grateful to my lovely examiners Prof Alexandra Harris and Prof Matthew Bevis, my supervisor Prof Kate McLoughlin, and my friends who organised a celebratory dinner afterwards 💗
