1. gannets are cool!
2. Can you see what these beauties are nesting on? It's discarded fishing nets. They may be beautiful and amazing flyers, but they're not good at distinguishing between things drifting on the surface. #photography #naturephotography #northerngannet #plasticpollution

Found a mommy spider protecting her bag full of spiderlings in my garden today. I had seen these crab spiders before but only learned today that they can actively change their colour. 😲
So this white one is the same species as the green one I saw catching bees inside a flower last year.

Here's to the Glorious 25th of May. Truth, justice, freedom, reasonably priced love and a hard-boiled egg.

"When Mister Safety Catch Is Not On, Mister Crossbow Is Not Your Friend"
Unfortunately this gem is somewhat hidden away between the drama and emotion of the end of Nightwatch. I think it deserves more attention.

#discworld #nightwatch #terrypratchett I'm re-reading Night Watch and I've come to the point in the book that has kept bothering me since forever. And wonder if I don't get it, or (gasp!) if PTerry wrote a major plothole. Help, please! ...

Needless to say that we don't have a cat. We do however provide the rather popular neighbourhood cat chair in a quiet corner of our patio. Babette from next door and I have a somewhat complicated relationship, cause I have rules which she ignores and also she doesn't want to be petted.

I think Bird of the Year is a fun and charming way of getting people interested in wildlife and I love to listen to John Oliver "squawk about government eating itself from within". So you can guess how happy coming across this mural made me!

It's cold and dark outside, but it's very cosy inside with the squishy cherish quilt that I finished almost exactly a year ago. (wool batting is so nice!)
