Did you know Josephine Baker was a spy for the French resistance during World War ll? She is the first Black woman buried in the
Panthéon monument in Paris. One of the highest honors. She is also one of the inspirations for my debut novel “Spy Notes”.

Mary Bowser was a Black servant for Confederate President Jefferson Davis and spied for the Union while working in the Confederate White House. Her photographic memory was an essential tool for helping the Union win the war. Underestimate us at your own peril! #Blacksky #Blackspythrillers
