A friend reminded me that we need to boycott big corporations. I was tempted to renew my Audible subscription because offered a discounted membership. I am cancelling that and plan to not buy any Kindle books next year. Will just use library digital ones. Use Libro & Chirp for audiobooks.

Finally getting around to writing more movies I saw at the film festival, and Is This Thing On? is one of the ones that surprised me the most. Didn’t even hear about it before the screening. It is really good. Very heartfelt movie about rediscovering passion and love for people and art.

I brought these stats up at the other place but consider this: Not only has there only been six Black directors nominated for Best Director (all of them men), there’s never been a two-time nominee in that category.
