Every so often during the day for the next couple of weeks I need to find a spring training video just so I can hear the sound of the ball hitting the mitt.

You have your coping strategies, I have mine.

I can’t fully assess the Mets’ off-season moves because I am not an expert, so to answer the big question I turn to help from those who know more than I do:

Everyone’s talking about hearing and feeling an earthquake and I’ve been sitting right here and didn’t notice a thing.

This Rams-Eagles snow game reminds me of the first time a video game had the snow slowly accumulate on the ground in snowy weather. What a thrill.

Every so often a dog video crosses my feed that I send to my brother even though I know he must have seen it, and he’ll send me a baseball video that crosses his feed even though I’ve most likely seen it.

It’s like our own personal O. Henry story.

I never want my daughter to be sick but if she’s going to be sick I sure will appreciate that I don’t have to drive through middle school pick-up today.

I knew the Vikings were in trouble early last night because Sam Darnold had Jets Face almost right from the start.

A couple of foxes came running past this morning. Glad I was able to snap a pic.

If I have to record a video for the online class I teach, I’m going to cut myself shaving that morning 9 times out of 10.

I really like the idea of curating a brand-new social media feed here. Learning some lessons, or maybe being reminded, of what I want out of platforms like this.

Didn’t notice yesterday, but it’s good to see Will Shortz is back. Perhaps a good omen for 2025.
